Background
Dr. Ayres Fernando Rodrigues graduated in Medicine from Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS) and completed his orthopedic residency at NHU/UFMS, followed by a fourth-year subspecialty (R4) in Bone Reconstruction & Lengthening at HC/FMUSP (Hospital das Clínicas, Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo). He undertook external fixation fellowships in Lecco and Milan, Italy, and advanced coursework in the USA and Germany. Currently President of ASAMI-Brasil and a member of the global LLRS, he leads the External Fixators and Osteomyelitis Group at Hospital IFOR (Rede D'Or São Luiz) and serves as a moderator at national ASAMI congresses. He is pursuing a PhD and post-doctorate in Biophotonic Medicine, integrating photobiomodulation into complex bone reconstruction.
