Background
Ignacio Ginebreda Martí is a founding partner and head of the Bone Reconstruction and Lengthening Unit (ICATRECON) at ICATME / Hospital Universitari Dexeus, where he has practised since 1984. He is credited as a pioneer of intramedullary-nail bone lengthening in Spain, holds Wittenstein (Germany) accreditation for the Fitbone technique, and has trained more than 180 international fellows. His 26-year humeral-lengthening series in achondroplasia won a Best Scientific Publication award in 2020.
