Background
Born February 7, 1959, Kudzaev graduated from North Ossetian State Medical Academy (SOGMA) in 1983 and went on to train under the direct influence of Professor Gavriil Ilizarov, whose external fixation method he continues to apply and refine. He founded Doctor Kudzaev's Clinic in Vladikavkaz in 2003 and has since treated international patients with a combination of orthopedic and aesthetic surgical techniques. He was awarded Honorary Professorship of the Ilizarov Scientific Center and holds the Honored Doctor title from South Ossetia. His clinic's entry in the Guinness/planetary records is cited in Russian media for a complex operation performed on a 114-year-old patient.
