Background
Dr Marie Gdalevitch completed both her medical and orthopaedic surgery degrees at McGill University before undertaking a fellowship in limb lengthening and deformity correction at the International Center for Limb Lengthening (ICLL) in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by a paediatric orthopaedics and basic science research fellowship at the Children's Hospital at Westmead in Sydney, Australia. She founded CLLC Montreal and the Canadian Orthopedic Limb Lengthening Association (COLLA), of which she is a past president. She has over 15 years of specialised experience and developed the telescopic free-gliding (FG) SCFE screw for non-fusion treatment of slipped capital femoral epiphysis.
