Background
Professor of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine since 2024, and clinical lead at the Ortopediatri Children's Orthopaedics Academy in Istanbul since 2012. Graduated from Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine (Eskişehir) in 1992 and completed his orthopaedics residency at Erciyes University in 1997; assistant professor at İnönü University (1998–2003), associate professor at Yeditepe University (2006–2010) and professor at Kocaeli University (2022–2024). Fellowships at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego (2003) and a research fellowship at A.I. duPont Hospital for Children, Wilmington (2004–2006). Vice President of Turkish-ASAMI and a member of ASAMI International — the societies built around the Ilizarov method — with a peer-reviewed record in paediatric deformity and lower-limb reconstruction.
